What if we've moved or my child's medical information has changed since the last trip he went on?

If your information has changed, please print out a copy of our medical release form and fill it out.  You may either give it to Meg Sherman at church or you can leave it in her box in the church office.

What if I want to make a special donation to the Youth Mission Trip?

If you would like to make a special donation to the youth mission trip you may write "youth mission trip" in the memo line and give it to the church secretary.

Where is The Attic?

The Attic is located at Surfside Presbyterian Church on the second level of the new hall (the one perpendicular to bypass 17).

4.

How can I find out what trips the youth are taking this year?

All our events for the year are printed in the Youth Brochure.  You may print one out or check our Trips & Camps Page which will have all the details you might need for all of our trips.

5.

Who can attend The Attic's events?

The Attic is for 7th-12th grade students.  If you are interested in becoming an Attic leader you must enroll in Leadership University.  To find out more you can check out our Leadership University page.

6.

Do I need to fill out a form every time my child goes on a trip with The Attic?

If your child does not already have a medical form on file with The Attic you will receive one in a trip packet before attending a trip with us.  If you get one in the mail, simply fill it out (be sure to sign the bottom) and give it to Meg Sherman or put it in her box in the church office.  Once you have a medical form on file with us you should be covered UNLESS the camp we are attending requires a form for students to participate in camp activities.  Then, you will need to fill that out and give it to Meg.

Can my younger child come to The Attic with my older child even though she is only in 6th grade?

We have a wonderful children's program for K-6th graders lead by Ashley Floyd.  You can find out more information about our children's program on our main church website www.surfsidepca.com.   We ask that your younger children attend the children's program until they graduate the 6th grade.  If you have a child that will complete the 6th grade this May, we will be having a parent's lunch after church on February 4th at 12:30pm in The Attic.  This will be a time when you can get to know Ben and Meg and get information about The Edge summer camp for middle schoolers and the Summer Mission Trip.

9.

Are there any guidelines for Attic events or trips that parents should know about?

We have guidelines for dating couples, trips, and summer dress.  These are listed on the Parent's information page.  We have these guidelines in order to teach modesty and encourage students to view other believers as brothers and sisters in Christ.  Our struggle with the flesh is common to everyone and ladies can help our guys out by dressing modestly and guys can help our ladies by keeping their actions in check.  If you have any questions about the guidelines feel free to call Ben or Meg.

Where can I find out about Attic events?

The Attic events are listed on this Attic Events page.  You can also find out about Attic events on the Stall Wall which is located on the bathroom walls of The Attic.  If you are a parent and you don't get the Parent's Newsletter, e-mail Meg Sherman and tell her that you would like to join our mailing list, and please include your first and last name (and spouse), mailing address, and which student(s) belong to you.
